Three arrested for stealing TV sets from parked buses

DHADING: Dhading Police have arrested a gang accused of stealing LED televisions from buses parked due to the nationwide lockdown.

The law enforcement agency nabbed three persons allegedly involved in breaking into six buses and stealing LED television sets and music players.

The arrested are Abhishek Shrestha, Shyam Shrestha and Ajay Shrestha of Siddhalek Municipality-5. One person involved in the crime is absconding and search is on to nab him, according to Information Officer at the District Police Office, Dhading, Rupak Khadka.

A complaint was lodged with the Dhading Police about the theft of televisions and music players from three buses—Ba 4 Kha 7380, Na 4 Kha 2891, Na 6 Kha 9130 and Lu 2 Kha 1954—operated by Dhading Mandali Transport Pvt.

Police said that six LED televisions, three music players, two speakers and four tools used in the theft were recovered from the suspects.
