Sudhur Paschhim urges federal govt to extend lockdown



KATHMANDU: The Sudhur Paschhim Province government has asked the federal government to extend the lockdown ensure that the novel coronavirus does not spread further.

The provincial government’s suggestion comes at a time when the number of coronavirus-infected people have reached nine in the country.

According to provincial Minister for Internal Affairs and Law, Prakash Shah, they have suggested the federal government to extend the lockdown so as to protect the people from COVID-19 infection.

The suggestion comes amid concerns and speculations over the possibility of the extension of the lockdown, which ends on Tuesday.
