BEIJING: The mainland China where the coronavirus broke out has reported 30 new cases.
This is up from 19 a day earlier as the cases involving international travelers as well as local transmissions increased, international media reports have said.
According to the National Health Commission, 25 of the latest cases involved travelers who had entered from abroad.
Five locally transmitted infections were reported on Saturday in the southern coastal province of Guangdong.
While China has now reported around 81,669 cases, the death toll has increased by three to 3,329.
Meanwhile, Beijing has remained unable to completely halt new infections despite imposing drastic measures to curb the spread of the virus.
