Death toll in Makawanpurgadhi road accident reaches four



MAKWANPUR: The death toll in Makawanpurgadhi road accident has reached four, the police confirmed.

A bus (Na 3 Kha 3556) carrying wedding attendants met with an accident at Gairebhanjyang at Shikharkateri of Makawanpurgadhi Rural Municipality-2 in Makawanpur district on Wednesday evening, killing four and injuring at least 49 others.

Of the dead, three died on the spot and one at a medical college in Bharatpur, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sushil Singh Rathaur.

The deceased have been identified as Som Bahadur Moktan, Som Bahadur Rumba and Suraj Gloho of
Makawanpurgadhi-7 while the identity of the next one is yet to be established, said DSP Rathaur.

Of the injured, 26 returned home after receiving treatment and others are receiving treatment at Hetauda Hospital, Churehil Hospital and Old Medical College, said the police.
