Nepali student drowns in Australia

QUEENSLAND: A student studying in Federation University, in Australia has lost his life in drowning in Queensland on Wednesday.

Nikesh Shrestha, a student of Federation University, was washed away by the waves while he was swimming in the sea in Queensland.

He who was swept by the waves was found dead 200 meters down the place he had gone for swimming.

According to Umesh Khadka, NRN Queensland coordinator, he was rescued after five minutes of his disappearance

Nikesh, along with his four friends, had been to sea for swimming.

Khadka informed that NRNA Queensland has coordinated with the family and police and they were preparing to send the dead body back to Nepal.

He said that the body of the deceased was now in a mortuary at Brisbane.
