‘Govt working in tandem with stakeholders for success of VN2020’

KATHMANDU: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Yogesh Bhattarai today informed the parliamentary International Relations Committee that his ministry has been maintaining coordination with stakeholders to avoid shortcomings to make Visit Nepal 2020 successful.

He said that his ministry has done the groundwork to disseminate positive messages at the international level in this regard.

Minister Bhattarai said that the unexpected coronavirus outbreak has had some impact on Nepal’s tourism.

“We have a shortage of human as well as other resources for the Visit Year,” Minister Bhattarai said.

He, meanwhile, said that the sanitation works, construction of physical infrastructures as well as the works at the Immigration Office of the Tribhuvan International Airport have been expedited.
