ICC WC League 2: Nepal receives early blow; Gyanendra, Paras out

KATHMANDU: Nepal has received an early blow after openers Gyanendra Malla and Paras Khadka were bowled out for mere one and three runs, respectively.

Malla, the captain of the Nepal team, was caught out by Mohammad Nadeem at the ball of Kaleemullah.

Similarly, Paras Khadka was sent to pavilion by Suraj Kumar at the ball of Bilal Khan.

Nepal faced an early blow while chasing the target of 198 runs in the opening triangular series of the ICC WC League 2.

The tournament is taking place at TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Wednesday. The tournament, which will continue till 12 February, will have six matches and Nepal, Oman and USA will play the triangular series.

Each team will play two games. Nepal will play its second match with the US on February 8 and the third match with Oman on February 9.

Nepal is playing the first series at its home ground after it got recognition of One Day Series.
