Gold jumps Rs 1,000 to record fresh life-time high

KATHMANDU: Gold price increased by Rs 1,000 per tola in the domestic market on Sunday to register a record fresh life-time high.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of yellow metal reached Rs 75,500 per tola today.

The gold was traded at Rs 74,500 per tola on Friday.

Coordinator of the price fixation committee of the association Tejratna Shakya said the gold price surged due to US-Iran tension, strong dollar and weak Indian currency.

According to him, the gold price could rise further.
