Kathmandu Valley witnesses 432 new COVID-19 cases

KATHMANDU: As many as 432 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 349 cases have been confirmed in Kathmandu, 18 in Bhaktapur, and 65 in Lalitpur.

With this, Kathmandu has got 90,537 cases of coronavirus till date out of which, 397 patients have succumbed to death.

Similarly, the number of coronavirus cases has reached 13,763 till date in Lalitpur. The district has seen deaths 122 so far.

Likewise, 95 people have lost their lives due to the coronavirus pandemic in Bhaktapur district. The district coronavirus case tally has reached 8,136 till today.

Meanwhile, as many as 1,024 people have been diagnosed coronavirus positive in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally has reached 239,885 with fresh cases as of Saturday afternoon.

A total of 2,206 individuals got discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached 224,053 in the country.

Nepal currently has 14,255 active cases.

Likewise, 536 people are in quarantine facilities across the country at present.

As many as 10 people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death tally in the country to 1,577, the Ministry confirmed.
