India’s COVID-19 cases surpass 9.6 million

NEW DELHI: India recorded 36,638 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the caseload to 9,608,418.

Currently, 410,679 are undergoing treatment at various isolation centers and hospitals. Meanwhile, 9,058,003 have returned home after treatment.

Similarly, the number of deaths from the coronavirus in India has crossed the 139,700 mark.

With 509 deaths in a single day, the number of deaths from the virus has reached 139,736, according to the latest figures collated by Worldometer.
