Will not enter Baluwatar for talks any more: Prachanda

KATHMANDU: Dispute between Nepal Communist Party (NCP) chairmen KP Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” has reached a new height of late.

Dahal, who reached the PM’s residence in Baluwatar on Thursday for talks, said he would not enter Baluwatar for talks anymore.

After the meeting with PM Oli, Dahal said since all talks remain futile, holding dialogue with PM Oli was a mere waste of time.

A NCP leaders quoted Dahal as saying thus, “I would not enter Baluwatar anymore for talks.”

Oli and Prachanda sat down for a discussion in a bid to break the deadlock over the crisis within the party. “But no conclusion has been reached,” the leader conceded.

According to the leader, during the meeting, Prachanda had objected to the Oli faction holding a state-level virtual meeting on Wednesday.

Dahal also requested PM Oli to summon a meeting of the party Secretariat meeting, which PM Oli refused.
