TISTUNG: The Chitlang-Thankot road under the Ganesh Man Singh Highway has remained closed as part of the road widening and repair drive.
Chitlang-Chandragiri-Thankot road construction concerned committee issued a notice informing that the road has been closed until further notice.
As part of the widening of Chandragiri-Thankot, road cutting is underway at Seto Pahara.
As a result, the road has been closed from today, said the concerned committee’s member Ram Sharan Nepal.
Started in 2071 BS, the road widening has not completed yet despite extending the contract term time and again.
Now, the local people have taken initiatives and the road widening is intensifying, it has been said.
