NEPSE index down by 3.63 points



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index witnessed a slight decline on Monday.

The NEPSE index dropped by 3.63 points to reach 1,582.12 points as trading closed today. The Sensitive Index, however, increased by 0.11 to get 312.46 points.

A total of 9,518,765 shares of 193 companies worth Rs 2.57 billion were traded today.

Of the total 12 sub-indices traded, the share of five increased and seven fell.

Share of hotels increased by 4.15 points, development banks by 24.49 points, hydropower by 27.39 points, others by 1.26 points and collective investment funds by 0.09 points.

Banking witnessed a decline of 3.86 points, trade by 7.15 points, finance by 4.31 points, non-life insurance by 115.18 points, manufacturing by 53.33 points, microfinance by 10.81 points and life insurance by 81.34 points.
