Chitwan records 28 new COVID-19 infection cases



CHITWAN: Twenty eight additional people have been infected with the coronavirus in the district in the last 24 hours.

They were confirmed infected with the virus during tests carried out at the laboratory of Bharatpur Hospital and Chitwan Medical College.

The infected are in the age group between 10 to 73, according to Liladhar Poudel, the information officer for Bharatpur Hospital.

Those tested positive at Bharatpur Hospital incude four males and three females from Bharatpur Metropolitan City and one each from Gaindakot and Rupandehi.

Likewise, as many as 19 people of Bharatpur Metroppolitan City and one each from Ratnanagar and Rapti municipality were confirmed infected during tests at Chitwan Medical College.

Similarly, the other infected are from Makwanpur, Rupandehi, Kathmandu, Parsa and Gulmi districts.

A total of 961 people have been infected and 12 have died from the virus in Chitwan as of Saturday morning.
