COVID-19 crisis: 46 coronavirus patients in ICU and 4 on ventilators



KATHMANDU: As the COVID-19 pandemic grip turning worse, 46 coronavirus patients are receiving treatment in ICU in various COVID-19 special hospitals throughout the country whereas 4 more are undergoing treatment on ventilators.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, there are 4 coronavirus patients receiving treatment on ventilators, whereas 46 more are undergoing treatment in ICU in different corona special hospitals set up throughout the country.

The Ministry informed that with 24 COVID-19 patients in ICU and 4 on ventilators, Bagmati province has the highest number of coronavirus patients in critical condition now.

Similarly, Province 2 has 19 coronavirus patients in ICU whereas Province 5 and Sudurpashicm province have two and one COVID-19 patients receiving treatment in ICU till Wednesday evening.

The coronavirus pandemic seems stretching its grip in the country as the pandemic has taken 61 lives till Wednesday. There have been 21,390 cases in the country till date.
