600 plus Nepalis repatriated via 9 chartered flights on Sunday

KATHMANDU: Nepalis stranded in various countries due to the impacts of COVID-19 were rescued in nine chartered flights on Sunday as well.

An aircraft of national flag carrier Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) brought 147 Nepalis from Qatar while its other aircraft have left for Saudi Arabia, Dubai and Bahrain to evacuate stranded Nepalis migrant workers there.

Similarly, NAC aircraft are scheduled to fly to Doha and Kuala Lumpur today itself.

Likewise, Himalayan Airlines brought 149 Nepalis from Abu Dhabi and 152 from Doha on Sunday.

Jazeera Airways brought 165 Nepalis from Kuwait and Himalayan Airlines aircraft has left for Kuwait to bring migrant workers in the country.

Likewise, there will be five international flights of NAC and Himalayan Airlines on Monday as well.

According to TIA sources, these flights will rescue Nepali migrant workers from Dammam, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi and Kuala Lumpur.

The TIA further shared that aircraft belonging to Kailash Airlines and Dynasty Airlines also made domestic flights on Sunday.
