KATHMANDU: Amid ongoing rift within the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP), its leader Subash Chandra Nemwang on Sunday met with Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba.

Nemwang held talks with Deuba on contemporary political issues, particularly the tug-of-war among the NCP big-wigs, sources said adding that Nemwang met with Deuba as Prime Minister KP Oli’s representative.

Nemwang is learned to have ‘apprised’ Deuba about PM Oli’s plan in the days to come, which observers note could be a part of PM Oli’s strategy to split the party and form a coalition government by taking NC into confidence.
