Govt begins testing quality of tunnel from Melamchi



KATHMANDU: The government has begun testing quality and efficiency of the 27-kilomater tunnel constructed to supply water from Sindhupalchowk’s Melamchi to Kathmandu.

The government has plans to supply water from Melamchi to Kathmandu Valley by next year.

The Melamchi Water Supply Project has been postponed repeatedly showing various technical reasons.

The will deliver the water from Melamchi to the processing center in Sundarijal in Kathmandu.
