Woman swept away by river in Baitadi



BAITADI: A woman has died after being swept away by the Jamadi River in Puchaurdi municipality.

The woman of around 35 years of age is yet to be identified, Chief of Baitadi Police DSP Narayan Prasad Adhikari said.

The body of the woman was found at a place called Girijabagar. Locals saw the body and informed police on Saturday afternoon.

Police have begun an investigation into the incident, including identifying the woman.

The body of the woman has been taken to Patan primary health center for a post-mortem.
