Six coronavirus patients discharged before ‘recovery’



DHANGADHI: With the enforcement of new directives related to the care and discharge of the COVID-19 patients, 6 COVID-19 patients have been discharged prior to ‘recovery’ from Seti Provincial Hospital.

According to the hospital sources, the six patients held undergoing treatment in isolation are discharged from the hospital as per the new directives.

Dilip Shrestha, the information official of Seti Provincial Hospital stated that as per the new provision the coronavirus patients who do not have the symptoms of the pandemic and have passed 14 days in isolation can be discharged from the hospital.

He further claimed that the 6 discharged on Friday did not show any symptoms and had passed the due time in quarantine as well.

The discharged include the people 2 persons including a 32-year-old father and 11-year-old daughter from Mellekh Rural Municipality Accham, and 4 persons from Shivanath Rural Municipality, Batadi.

There are 20 coronavirus patients undergoing treatment in Seti Provincial Hospital now.

The discharged are at a loss on what to do next as there has been no arrangement for their travel back home.

Kalali has the highest number of coronavirus patients in the Sudur Paschim Province.

There are 40 cases in Kalali alone whereas Accham has the second-highest number with 14.

There have been 10  coronavirus cases each Kanchanpur and Doti, 6 each in Baitadi and Dadeldhura, 3 in Bajura, 2 in Bajhang and 1 in Darchula so far.
