27 COVID-19 patients sent to home isolation from Lumbini Provincial Hospital

KATHMANDU: The Lumbini Provincial Hospital has sent 27 coronavirus patients to home isolation.

Bishnu Gautam, information officer at the hospital, said that 27 coronavirus patients who had been in the hospital for 14 days were being sent for home isolation on the basis of the guideline on isolation management of COVID-19 prepared by the Ministry of Health.

According to the hospital’s information officer Gautam, they were discharged from the hospital after being instructed to stay in home isolation for two weeks.

“Today, we have discharged 27 people, not on the basis of their coronavirus report, but based on the guidelines made by the Ministry of Health. They have been discharged without coronavirus test as they have completed 14 days in isolation,” hospital information officer Gautam said, “They should stay in home isolation for two weeks.”

After sending 27 infected people home, six coronavirus infected people are being treated at the hospital. Three of them are undergoing treatment in ICU and three in isolation.
