Number of COVID-19 infected Nepalis climbs to 84 in Kuwait

KATHMANDU: The number of COVID-19 infected Nepali nationals in Kuwait has reached 84 after nine more Nepalis tested positive for the novel virus.

Earlier 75 Nepali nationals were confirmed to have been infected with Coronavirus, according to Nepali Embassy in Kuwait.

However, it is not clear how many among those infected Nepalis have recovered since the Kuwaiti government has not revealed the details, informed Nepali Ambassador to Kuwait Durga Prasad Bhandari.

The death toll from Coronavirus in the country has climbed to 38 after five more died in the last 24 hours.

With 364 new cases in a single day, the number of infection cases has reached 4, 983 according to Worldometer.

Currently, 3, 169 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 72 are critical. Meanwhile, 1, 776 have recovered after treatment.
