PM calls cabinet meeting to discuss ‘lockdown’

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has called a meeting of Council of Ministers at  Baluwatar at 4 PM today.

The meeting is supposed to discuss the ‘lockdown’ that started in the country from Mar. 24. The government has added one more week and the second week is going to be over on Apr. 7. Similarly, the PM is expected to ask for further clarification on the medical equipment procurement scandal.

According to a Minister, the meeting is likely to discuss the pros and cons of involving the Nepal Army in the medical equipment procurement process.

Prior to the meeting of the Council of Ministers, there will be a meeting of the Central Natural Calamity Relief Committee. The committee is likely to recommend the extension of lockdown at least for one more week.
