Nepali evacuees from China to be quarantined at NEA center in Bhaktapur!



KATHMANDU: The Nepali evacuees from Hubei, China will be kept under isolation at the Bhaktapur-based training center of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).

A meeting held among Chief Secretary Lok Darshan Regmi, Nepal Army Chief Purna Chandra Thapa, Nepal Police IGP Sarbendra Khanal and Armed Police Force Chief Sailendra Khanal at the Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers among others on Tuesday decided to that effect, a high-placed source confirmed.

As many as 180 Nepali students to be brought from coronavirus-hit China will be quarantined for 14 days at the center in Kharipati, Bhaktapur.

World Health Organization (WHO) has already declared coronavirus as the global health epidemic. With the declaration, the Nepal government is under pressure to bring Nepali students from China.
