It’s been a year now since we embarked on a new journey by launching Khabarhub — literally a News Center — with a vision and objective to create a niche in the digital media fraternity. The last one year for Khabarhub has been a year of excitement despite challenges, and highs and lows since we took roads frequented as well as those less traveled.

Khabarhub, as a vibrant digital news media, explicitly used the materials and tools of fine tailoring to express whatever we could in a plain manner. We succeeded in reviving old, yet popular and investigative and research-based stories. We explored new challenges. We raised new issues and created an extensive impact by positioning ourselves as Nepal’s second-most popular digital news media in the Alexa rankings.

Furthermore, we introduced and established ourselves more as a ‘digital generation’ by bringing to fore success stories, by becoming the voice of the voiceless, and becoming one of the best sources for breaking and exclusive news from Nepal for international media outlets without much fear or apprehension, and without getting deterred from our commitment towards democracy, liberal values, human rights, inclusiveness, and rule of law.

We are aware of the threats hovering over the democratic system and our unique Nepali culture. We take our responsibility sincerely and promise to stand against injustice, autocracy, dictatorship, and extremist views, opinions and activities endangering social, religious and cultural harmony our society has been entertaining so far.

Khabarhub believes patriotism, rule of law, good governance, inclusiveness, secularism can best be protected and promoted by the democratic system the country has adopted now.

Sticking to ethical journalism, Khabarhub wants to offer the digital platform for news, views, opinions and the advertisement of various genuine products, goods and services.

The platforms are evolving and yet the challenges and abundant opportunities remain. The last one year taught us many lessons as we don’t claim we were flawless. Yet, we continue to embark on the journey with the commitment of lessening those errors now onward.

Most importantly, one that stands out is just how important it is for a digital new media to dig up untold stories without fear or compromise. Whether it’s news, an opinion, an analysis, or any other article, we continue to look for heirloom quality.

We, therefore, believe it’s the thread that brings it all together. This first anniversary has led us to introspection and retrospection. By saying this, we, however, reiterate our commitment to prioritizing everyone’s needs above our own. The conviction remains unchanged as we continue the voyage giving fresh, relevant, exclusive, easy-to-read, and easy-to-fit content to our esteemed readers, subscribers, advertiser, well-wishers, journalists and staff.

It is with this refreshing sense of calm that we are thrilled to serve our readers as we begin our second year today. Khabarhub team, from the bottom of its heart, thanks all for being a dedicated reader as the first year would not have been possible without your support and contribution. And, we surely believe the best is yet to come!
