Kathmandu Valley sees 606 new COVID-19 cases

KATHMANDU: As many as 606 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 440 cases have been confirmed in Kathmandu, 41 in Bhaktapur, and 125 in Lalitpur.

With this Kathmandu has got 89,728 cases of coronavirus till date out of which, 395 patients have succumbed to death.

Similarly, the number of coronavirus cases has reached 13,698 till date in Lalitpur. The district has seen deaths 120 so far.

Likewise, 95 people have lost their lives due to the coronavirus pandemic in Bhaktapur district. The district coronavirus case tally has reached 8,120 till today.

Meanwhile, as many as 1,272 people have been diagnosed coronavirus positive in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally has reached 238,861 with fresh cases as of Friday afternoon.

A total of 1,575 individuals got discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached 221,847 in the country.

Nepal currently has 15,447 active cases.

Likewise, 537 people are in quarantine facilities across the country at present.

As many as 16 people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death tally in the country to 1,567, the Ministry confirmed.
