Home Secy inaugurates BOP building at Lomanthang



KATHMANDU: Home Secretary Maheswor Neupane has inaugurated the Border Out Post(BOP) the 9th such post established at the border with the northern neighbor China.

According to Armed Police Force (APF) sources, Home Secretary Neupane, who had been at Lomanthang post with APF IGP Shailendra Khanal, inaugurated the BOP building to be constructed at Nepal China border at Lomanthang on Wednesday.

The BOP post — formerly established in the Customs office and the quarantine center of Agriculture Office on May 28 — will situated at the BOP’s own building situated 109 KM away from Jomsom, the district headquarters of Mustang.

The building which will have 24 rooms will be completed in one year from now.

After the completion of the building, APF will be deployed there throughout the year.

Out of 118 BOPs if APF, seven are in the northern border.
