Indian Ambassador Kwatra pays courtesy call on foreign Secy Poudyal

KATHMANDU:  Indian Ambassador to Nepal Vinay Mohan Kwatra has paid a courtesy call on Foreign Secretary Bharat Raj Poudyal on Wednesday morning.

During the meeting, Ambassador Kwatra congratulated Poudyal on his appointment to the secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting focused on bilateral ties and substantively enriching and progressing India-Nepal cooperation, Ambassador Kwatra said in his tweet.

The meeting which took place prior to the Nepal visit of Indian Army Chief Manoj Mukund Naravane is viewed significantly.

Indian Army Chief Naravane is arriving on a three-day official visit to Nepal today. He is arriving here at the official invitation of Chief of Staff of the Nepal Army, Purna Chandra Thapa.

Meanwhile, security has been tightened in the Kathmandu Valley amid Nepal visit of Naravane.
