PM Oli condoles demise of ex-Speaker Mahara’s wife

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli has expressed grief over the demise of former Speaker and member of the House of Representatives Krishna Bahadur Mahara’s wife Sita Mahara.

Posting a twitter message, Prime Minister Oli has paid tributes to the depated soul and expressed condolence to the family members of the deceased.

Sita Mahara, who was undergoing treatment at Norvic International Hospital after being diagnosed with the virus passed away at 6:25 am today.

She was admitted to Dang-based Gorkah Hospital on October 29 after she suffered from minor illness during her visit to home district Rolpa, Mebang on Dashain.

After being diagnosed with pneumonia and respiratory complications, she was airlifted to Kathmandu on October 30.

She was being treated on ventilator since October 31 after her PCR test conducted at Norvic Hospital came out positive.

She had been suffering from a disease called myasthenia for the last 10 years.
