Over 294,000 diagnosed with COVID-19 globally in a single day



KATHMANDU: More than 294,000 people have been infected with the coronavirus in a single day across the world.

With the new cases, the number of infection cases has reached 35.1 million globally.

Similarly, with 4,791 deaths in the last 24 hours, the number of coronavirus cases has reached 1,037,524 globally.

Coronavirus has killed 224,626 people in European countries. European countries had witnessed 5.26 million cases and 2.59 million have recovered so far.

A total of 315,631 people have died in North American countries. The number of infections has reached 9.08 million. Of them, 5.86 million have been declared infection-free.

Similarly, 199,857 people have died in Asian countries. Out of 10.9 million people infected, 9.24 million have recovered and at least 260,478 people have died in South American countries. Of the 8.25 million infected, 7.09 million have recovered.

In African countries, 36,399 people have died as 1.51 million have been infected. Out of the infected, 1.25 have won their fight against coronavirus.

At least 935 people have been killed in Oceania and Australia. Of the 31,539 people infected, 28,775 have recovered.
