784 lockdown violators face the music



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested 784 people from different parts of the Kathmandu Valley on Sunday morning for violating the COVID-19 lockdown enforced to prevent and control coronavirus.

Police said they were arrested for disobeying the police’s request to stay at the house except for urgent works.

Among those arrested are 196 women coming out on the streets violating the lockdown.

The law enforcement agency has been holding lockdown violators on the roads for three hours before sending them back home.

Police said that 204 vehicles were taken under control till 8 am on Sunday.
