COVID-19: 1,355 die in France in last 24 hours



KATHMANDU: The COVID-19 has claimed 1,355 people in France in the last 24 hours.

According to the latest figures collated by the Worldometer, the total death toll in the country has reached 5,387 as of Friday morning after 1, 355 died in a single day.

Similarly, 2,116 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of infected people with the novel virus to 59, 105.

The condition of 6,399 among those currently undergoing treatment is critical.

A total of 12, 428 people have recovered after treatment so far.

The coronavirus which broke out in Wuhan City of China last December has spread to 204 countries.

According to Johns Hopkins University, the novel virus has claimed 52,863 people and infected 1,013,157 globally as of Friday morning.

A total of 210, 186 people have recovered after treatment.
