Nuclear Bill sent to legislation committee for clause-wise discussions



KATHMANDU: The National Assembly meeting today unanimously approved a proposal to send the Nuclear Bill, 2075 in the Legislation Management Committee for cause-wise discussion.

Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security Rameshwor Raya Yadav tabled the Bill in the NA meeting on behalf of Minister for Education, Science and Technology Girirajmani Pokharel.

Similarly, Chairperson of Sustainable Development and Good Governance Committee Taradevi Bhatta tabled the report on “Interaction Programmes on Physical Infrastructures and Good Governance and Monitoring of the National Pride Projects and Onsite Monitoring of Local Judicial Committee, 2076.

Presenting the report, she said that interaction program were done in two districts each in State No 2, Karnali State and Sudur Paschim State.

Bhatta shared that there are gaps in good governance for lack of physical and human resources while adding that the judicial committees’ activities in local levels were not so effective based on the sample selection results.

The next meeting of the NA will take place at 12:15 noon on Wednesday.
