Five murder-accused of Ajita Bhujel remanded in custody



MAKWANPUR: District Court Makwanpur remanded in custody five murder-accused of third gender Ajita Bhujel.

Those remanded in custody include  Ashish Bal, 24, of Hatauda-4, Buddha Lama alias Hamchar of Hetauda-14, Simon Pariyar,18, alias Bhapu of Hetauda-9, and Sushil Thapa alias Ghantauke and Sonam Gole of Hetauda-4 for their alleged involvement in the murder of Ajita.

A single bench of district Judge Kamal Raj Bista issued the order to this effect on Monday.

On January 18, the dead body of Bhujel had been found at Kyampadanda in Hetauda-5. The murder-accused had recorded statement that they had strangulated Ajita to death in fury over financial dispute.

Meanwhile, the district court ordered to release Alisha Pakhrin, 21 of Hetauda-11 on a Rs 100,000 bail.

Alisha, however, was kept in the district prison after she could not furnish the bail as per the demand, said Keshav Raj Kaushik, a record keeper at the District Court.
