KATHMANDU: The first phase of Australia Awards Short Course on “Building Capacity in Vocational Training and Assessment” commenced on Monday.

A total of 23 participants were selected to attend this short course at Global Academy of Tourism and Hospitality Education (GATE) College, Kathmandu, according to the Australian Embassy in Nepal.

For the first time, Australia Awards is delivering a short course in Nepal.

The objective of this short course is to support the participants by equipping them with the skills and knowledge to effectively deliver training and assessment services as part of a structured VET program within a training organization, or in a workplace context, the Embassy stated.

After the successful completion of all three phases, TAFE NSW will award the participants the “TAE40116 Certificate IV” in Training and Assessment.

The next two phases are scheduled for May and August of this year.
