SSP Rana remanded to five days in custody



SUNSARI: Sunsari District Court on Monday remanded SSP Saurav Shumsher Rana alleged of sexual abuse to five days in judicial custody.

A single bench of Judge Maniram Neupane remanded Rana to five days in custody.

Rana had surrendered before police on Sunday.

The Ministry of Home Affairs had suspended SSP Rana as soon as the news about his sexual abuse was made public on Thursday.

A day after Rana’s suspension, the victim had filed a complaint against Rana at the Sunsari Police on Friday.
