KATHMANDU: Umesh Patwal, Head Coach of the Nepali National Cricket Team has resigned on Monday.

It is reported that his resignation will come into effect following the conclusion of a tri-series between Nepal, Oman and the USA.

Patwal offered his resignation before the International Cricket Council (ICC) that had appointed him to the post.

Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) said it was unaware of his resignation.

ICC had paid him USD 7,000 monthly remuneration.
