Youth leaders absent from PM Oli-hosted dinner party



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is also the chairman of Nepal Communist Party (NCP), has hosted a dinner party for the Central Committee members.

With the CC meeting concluding on Sunday,  PM Oli threw a dinner party for 445 CC members at his official residence in Baluwatar.

Lawmakers of National Assembly, House of Representatives and CC members of the NCP  had been informed about the dinner party through a text message only late on Sunday.

“You have been cordially invited to the dinner reception to be organized at the Prime Minister’ official residence, Baluwatar on Sunday 6 pm (February 2),” the said the text message.

The dinner had been organized to exchange greetings among lawmakers and CC members, Prime Minister’s Adviser Surya Thapa told Khabarhub .

However, some leaders did not attend the dinner reception. Those absenting from the party include CC members Rajendra Rai, Ram Kumari Jhankri, Lekhnath Nyaupane, Thakur Gaire.

Ridiculing the party, CC member Nyaupane said, “Roasted maize and black tea at home taste more delicious.”
