Tourism Minister Bhattarai ‘encouraged’ by VNY 2020 launch



KATHMANDU: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai, has claimed that the unprecedented participation of people from diverse sectors in the nationwide launch of Visit Nepal (VNY) 2020 has encouraged the government.

“I heartily thank the people for their enthusiastic participation in the grand launch of the VNY 2020,” Minister Bhattarai, who is also the Chairman of VNY 2020 main organizing committee, stated in a press release on Friday.

He argued that it was pleasant inception of government resolution for the national campaign.

“Government has aimed at bringing in 2 million foreign tourists,” he reminded.

As he stated the national campaign of VNY would make the country further known across the globe. The Minister also sought similar cooperation from all sides to make the VNY successful.

He also congratulated Nepal’s diplomatic missions, Non-Resident Nepali Associations and the well-wishers on this occasion.

The government had launched VNY 2020 from all seven States on January 1.
