Prachanda meets Prez Bhandari with NCP on verge of split



KATHMANDU: Amidst the mounting conflict in the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP), the Executive Chairman of NCP Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda also reached Sheetal Niwas, the President’s Office.

According to a Sheetal Niwas source, President Bidya Devi Bhandari, who called Prime Minister and another party Chairperson KP Oli on Thursday morning, discussed the party’s conflict with Prachanda.

Chairperson Prachanda met President Bhandari at a time when the party has nearly reached the verge of the split is given special importance by the political analyst. The meeting has got special meaning as President Bhandari is expected to have worked to make the days of PM Oli more comfortable ahead.

According to a source, Bhandari has called PM Oli’s rival Prachanda to play a role in resolving the dispute.

President Bhandari has gone active again when the dispute in ruling NCP has reached a decisive stage.
