KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Finance has directed to pay the coronavirus insurance claim within three days.

The ministry instructed the insurance companies again after they flouted an earlier order to pay the insurance amount within seven days.

The ministry said so far only a small number of payments have been made and daily progress reports have not been received regularly.

It has been directed to inform the ministry on a daily basis within three days of payment of claims that have completed the process and documents as per coronavirus insurance criteria.

The ministry has asked to make arrangements for payment by completing the verification of the remaining claims as soon as possible.

Similarly, the number of claims of insurance so far, the number of completed claims, number sent to the Department of Health Services for verification, details of unverified or fake claims, details of payment of claims have been directed to be submitted to the Ministry.
