Kathmandu Valley sees 561 new COVID-19 cases

KATHMANDU: As many as 561 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 455 cases have been confirmed in Kathmandu, 26 in Bhaktapur, and 80 in Lalitpur.

With this Kathmandu has got 89,288 cases of coronavirus till date. Out of which, 393 patients have succumbed to death.

Similarly, the number of coronavirus cases has reached 13,419 till date in Lalitpur. The district has seen 177 deaths so far.

Likewise, 93 people have lost their lives due to the coronavirus pandemic in Bhaktapur district. The district coronavirus case tally has reached 8,053 till today.

Meanwhile, as many as 1,343 people have been diagnosed coronavirus positive in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally has reached 237,589 with fresh cases as of Thursday afternoon.

A total of 2,111 individuals got discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached … in the country.

Nepal currently has 15,766 active cases.

Likewise, 576 people are in quarantine facilities across the country at present.

As many as 13 people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death tally in the country to 1,551, the Ministry confirmed.
