Madi Municipality collecting economic details of locals



CHITWAN: The Madi Municipality is collecting economic details of the locals to identify their economic status.

The municipality has deputed 50 teachers to collect the details in the municipality.

According to municipality mayor Thakur Dhakal, the details’ collection process is at final stage and will be completed within five days.

The details include annual income, types of business whether in home or abroad and economic status of the families in the municipality.

He further shared that the municipality will get information about bank accounts, land property among others of the municipality residents.

The details will help the municipality to prepare policy categorizing the locals on the basis of their economic status. The municipality is planning to manage free of cost health and education to the poor and needy people.

According to Dhakal, the municipality has allocated five million rupees to manage health and insurance to the needy ones. The statistics shows that the municipality has 44,000 people. RSS
