Prez Bhandari urges Gautam to play decisive role in keeping party intact



KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has requested the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Vice-Chairman Bamdev Gautam to play a decisive role in keeping the party unity intact.

During a meeting at Sheetal Niwas on Tuesday, President Bhandari was briefed on the latest developments, said Gautam’s Press Coordinator Bishwamani Subedi.

President Bhandari and NCP Vice-Chairman Gautam had a half-hour discussion.

“You have been playing a role in maintaining party unity in the past as well. Now, you have to play a decisive role this time as well,” said Subedi quoting President Bhandari as saying to Gautam.

In response, Vice-Chairman Gautam said that it was up to them to prevent the party from splitting and to maintain unity.
