KATHMANDU: The main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) has summoned an ‘emergency’ meeting of the Central Working Committee (CWC) of the party on Tuesday.

The meeting will pass a condolence motion on the demise of central committee member and former lawmaker Surya Bahadur KC.

NC Central Office Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel said that no other issues would be discussed today.

The meeting will be adjourned as soon as the condolence motion is passed, he said.

Similarly, the meeting of the party office-bearers slated for today has been postponed.

KC, 63, breathed his last at his residence in Pokhara Monday night. He was suffering from diabetes and hypertension for a long time.
