Budhanilkantha Municipality’s Mayor Kharel tests positive for COVID-19



KATHMANDU: Mayor of Budhanilkantha Municipality Uddhav Prasad Kharel has contracted the coronavirus.

Nawaraj Bhattarai, Spokesperson at the municipality said that Mayor Kharel tested positive for the pandemic on Sunday, adding that he is asymptomatic.

His swab sample was collected on Wednesday. Mayor Kharel’s driver has also tested positive for the COVID-19.
