110 more test positive for COVID-19 in Birgunj



BIRGUNJ: As many as 110 persons have been infected with COVID-19 during  PCR tests conducted in Birgunj.

According to Narayani Hospital, 69 persons from Parsa, 24 persons from Bara and 17 persons from Rautahat have tested positive for COVID-19.

Dr. Atulesh Chaurasia, a senior dermatologist at Narayani Hospital, said 110 persons were diagnosed with coronavirus out of 576 swab samples tested.

According to Dr Chaurasia, there are 49 people in different wards of Birgunj Metropolitan City in Parsa, five people in 4 and 5 wards of Bahudarmai Municipality, four people in Kalikamai Village Municipality-2, seven people in Parsagadhi Municipality-4 and 8, four people in Pokhariya Municipality-4 and 10, 4 wards in Parsagadhi Municipality. No. 7 of 4, 8 and ward no. Of Kalikamai village municipality. 4 out of 2 people have been infected.

Of those infected in Birgunj, one person each in Ward No. 4, 12 and 18, two persons each in Ward No. 2, 15, 16 and 17, theree persons each in Ward No. 10 and 31, four persons each in Ward No. 11, 13 and 21.

Twenty-four people were found infected in Kalaiya sub-metropolis of Bara and 17 in Yamunmai village of Rautahat.
