Quarantine facility in Kathmandu lacks facilities

KATHMANDU: A quarantine facility set up at Jaharsinghpauwa in Shankharapur Municipality in Kathmandu lacks basic facilities such as electricity and accommodation.

People staying at the quarantine complained there is no electricity for the past three days and are finding it difficult to sleep for want of mosquito nets.

They also said no health workers have visited the facility to conduct health check-ups.

The quarantine facility has 10 people suspected of COVID-19 including five people returned home from foreign countries and five from outside the Kathmandu Valley.

They demanded PCR tests for them.
