5 return home as landslide destroys quarantine building

GULMI: A landslide induced by the continuous rainfall has damaged the quarantine set up in Kalika Lower Secondary School building at Isma-4, Dohali Dhand, Gulmi forcing 5 quarantined people flee from there.

According to Ganu Prasad Adhikari, the Ward Chairperson of Ward No. 4 of Isma Rural Municipality, the landslide has destroyed Kalika Lower Secondary School, Dohali Dhand used as quarantine.

“The building used as quarantine is destroyed by the landslide,” Ward Chair Adhikari said, “Five in the quarantine have fled home after the landslide.”

He said that all five who fled from the quarantine had RDT positive.

“As the 9 roomed building is damaged badly by the landslide and 5 who tested RDT positive have run away from the site,” he further added, “We have asked them to stay at home quarantine as their PCR is not tested yet.”
