Govt extends deadline to pay taxes

KATHMANDU: Following widespread criticism from the business community, the government has extended the deadline to file taxes.

The Inland Revenue Department on Wednesday issued a new notice extending the deadline set for Sunday for filing different taxes.

According to the notice, the details of value-added tax, income tax and excise duty and the amount accordingly can be submitted by June 21.

Similarly, the deadline for submission of education service tax and telecommunication tax has also been extended.
